In their third exhibition game, Australia made 18 3-pointers and left Nigeria no chance. For the African team, this was their first defeat in friendly matches.

Brian Goorjian’s team won the game 108-69 (26-13, 23-16, 35-17, 24-23) and got their third victory in a row after beating Argentina and Team USA earlier.

Aussies took control in the second quarter when Josh Giddey knocked both of his free throws, both Chris Goulding and Jock Landale added a 3-pointer, and teams were already separated by 20 points (42-22).

Australia’s biggest lead was in the fourth quarter when they were up by 48 points (102-54).

Goulding led the charge with 21 points (7/7 3PT), 4 assists, and 3 rebounds in only 22 minutes of playing time.

Australia made 18 3-pointers out of 29 (62%), while Nigeria was shooting 26% from deep (8 out of 31).

Players like Joe Ingles, Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, and Aron Baynes were all rested in today’s game.

Australians will play Team USA in their upcoming exhibition game.
