The Philadelphia 76ers are open to trade their All-Star point guard Ben Simmons, The Athletic’s insider Shams Charania reports.

According to Charania, the 76ers have opened trade discussions regarding Simmons and engaged with other teams.

It is being reported that the 76ers would like to get an All-Star caliber player in return. Despite that, interest in Simmons remains high.

Simmons, 24, was a member of the All-NBA team in 2019-20, a two-time All-Defensive first-team member, and won the Rookie of the Year award.

The Australian point guard also decided to skip the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games to improve his individual game.

Last season, Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists in 58 games played.
