Basketball Champions League participant ERA Nymburk signed former Euroleague player Jurica Zuza to become their new assistant coach. 43-year-old Croatian will help Alexander Sekulic, who was an assistant before he replaced Oren Amiel as head coach. Zuza's last head coaching was in Lithuania with Neptunas Klaipeda.

"For this post, I needed a coach with unique abilities, who can scout the opponent's game and can also work with players on the court. And that's why I chose Jurica Zuza, who has extensive experience as a player and as a coach and is also a great personality," said Sekulic.

Zuza has a rich playing experience. In 2002-03 he represented the EuroLeague powerhouse Panathinaikos Athens under the legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic, with whom he won the Greek title. "It was in Panathinaikos that I first met Sasa Sekulic when he came to visit his friend Jaka Lakovic," Zuza recalled.

"We met last year when he was on vacation in Zadar, and we had a long time together. And now a few days ago he called me to say he had a job for me. I am very happy that we will work together in Nymburk, which is a club we have only heard praise for. Sasa has worked with many great coaches, and I am glad that I will be able to learn from him and that I will be able to bring my playing experience back to the team, as well as my experience from working in Lithuania, where basketball is a religion," added Zuza.
