In preparation for next season's EuroLeague, Crvena Zvezda have signed one of the best Montenegrin point guards and brought back a former player.

Nikola Ivanovic (1.91 meters, 27 years old) has been signed to a two-year contract. The experienced point guard started his career with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica of his native Montenegro, where he spent his first four professional seasons. After playing the following three years in Serbia (Mega Leks), Greece (AEK Athens) and Italy (Orlandina), Ivanovic returned to Buducnost and played the last four season there.

During that run, he debuted in the EuroLeague, playing eight games (19.5 MPG) of the 2018-19 season and averaging 7 points, 3.6 assists and 10 PIR. The guard enjoyed a career year last season after averaging 14.6 points, 3.4 assists and 15.7 PIR in 19 EuroCup games (25.5 MPG). He helped Buducnost reach the quarterfinals this season before losing to eventual champion AS Monaco.

Crvena Zvezda also brought back Luka Mitrovic (2.06 meters, 28 years old), who last played for the Adriatic League champions during the 2016-17 season. After spending five seasons with the team, Mitrovic played in Germany (Brose Bamberg), Spain (UCAM Murcia, Manresa) and Montenegro, where he was Nikola Ivanovic's teammate in Buducnost.

While in Montenegro, Mitrovic averaged 2.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.9 PIR in 14 EuroCup games (11 MPG). Meanwhile in the ABA League, the power forward averaged 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 7 PIR in 17 games (11 MPG).
