According to BasketNews journalist Lukas Malinauskas, Zibenas will be officially announced as the new head coach on December 11 after the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) committee meeting.

Vassilis Spanoulis is officially replacing Dimitris Itoudis as the new Greek national team head coach, the Greek Basketball Federation announced. Spanoulis and the Greek Basketball Federation agreed to a 2-year deal. Spanoulis' upcoming challenges include the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers, the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, and possibly the 2024 Paris Olympics.

A comprehensive Host City Impact Study has highlighted the successes of hosting FIBA EuroBasket 2022 across all five cities. The study was conducted by Nielsen Sports in conjunction with FIBA Europe with the aim of evaluating the impact FIBA EuroBasket 2022 had on each of the co-hosts and the cities of Berlin, Cologne, Milano, Prague, and Tbilisi.

Sacramento Kings All-star center Domantas Sabonis was named the best Lithuanian basketball player of the year, Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) announced. More than 15,000 fans gave their votes, with Sabonis collecting 2,840 of them. New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas came in second (2,206 votes).
